Project Overview
Inserts East, Inc. is a family owned commercial printing company in Pennsauken, New Jersey. Considering the amount of paper they use, Inserts East was eager to be able to give back to the environment. Although they operate 24/7 and haven’t closed down their machinery in years, Inserts East was more than accommodating for an electrical shutdown to allow a safe interconnection of the rooftop solar facility into their incoming electrical service.

This extensive rooftop solar panel system is made up of 2,022 modules and 12 inverters, reaching a peak power of 748.14 kW DC. Generating an estimated 968,473 kWh annually, the system does more than save money: it prevents the release of 685 metric tons of carbon into the environment, matching the amount of carbon sequestered by 894 acres of US forest in a year.
