Project Overview

A leading foodservice packaging manufacturer based out of Ridgefield Park, New Jersey, Consolidated Packaging Group uses an enormous amount of energy. Going solar was the obvious move, for both financial and environmental reasons.

System Specifications

Consolidated Packaging Group may consume a lot of electricity, but their building’s footprint isn’t particularly large. During the planning phases, great care was taken to ensure that the system would maximize every bit of available roof space,–and it did. The result: a 772.8 kW system made of 2,240 solar panels and configured with an excellent azimuth of 182 degrees.

This solar system is expected to produce 937,089 kWh annually. That’s enough energy to power 85 homes each year! The switch to solar energy reduced Consolidated Packaging Group’s carbon footprint by 673 metric tons–, the equivalent of planting 878 acres of US forest in a year.
