Project Overview

Checkpoint is a supplier of security and merchandise visibility systems for retailers. Their EAS radio frequency solutions, loss-prevention items, RFID hardware, software, and apparel labeling capabilities all enable retailers to keep track of their stock and reduce theft. With the goal of improving both their utility bills and the environment, Checkpoint decided to switch their building in West Deptford, New Jersey, over to solar.

System Specifications

An aerial view of Checkpoint Systems’ West Deptford location would reveal 1,884 solar panels taking up nearly the entire roof. With its 14 inverters, this mounted array can reach a peak power of 584.04 kW DC. The anticipated annual generation is 782,252 kWh, which reduces Checkpoint’s carbon footprint by 553 metric tons a year–a carbon reduction comparable to that of 722 acres of US forest in a year.
